Because of that, the city council has approved an amendment to next year's Fiesta celebration, which will run from April 10-27, instead of April 19-27.</p><p>The party will last a little longer, but the new dates provide a revision to the regular flow of Fiesta events to respect Holy Week. Rebecca Viagran clinched 51 percent of the vote, surging far above Leticia Ozuna’s 38 percent.</p><p>Ozuna, although not truly an incumbent because she was appointed to the seat a year and a half ago to fill Jennifer Ramos’ unexpired term, was running her first race and expected to win the seat.</p><p>She cited experience and her work on technology issues for the city as reasons she should come back for a full term.
