Bexar County Offering Paid Summer Arts Internships

The application period is open for Bexar County's inaugural arts internship program this summer. The program is funding nine summer internships with local nonprofit arts organizations and will allow the nonprofits an opportunity to offer a paid 10-week summer internship to attract motivated college students to work on seasonal or special projects.

Say Sí Receives Unexpected $100,000 award

On Thursday the Say Sí multi-disciplinary arts program became the unexpected recipient of the $100,000 IMPACT San Antonio grant.

IMPACT San Antonio presents large grants of $100,000 to selected non-profits each October and last year doubled its awards; honoring the San Antonio AIDS Foundation and the Center for Family Relations each with grants to apply toward specific projects.

Say Sí Students Learn to Illustrate Movement for Fotoseptiembre

The staff at Say Sí plans for a certain theme that can be woven into each show throughout the year. From there, students produce art pieces for a variety of events; Fotoseptiembre is one of those.

"Ok, so the theme of Fotoseptiembre; the theme was decided ahead of time during the project planning, and the theme was 'Stillness in Motion,'" said Nicole Amri, program and outreach coordinator for Say Sí.
