But just how plentiful are these waters? Medical debt affects one in four families in America and many will continue to experience financial burdens, despite increased access to health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. We look at access to healthcare and medical debt in the second of a two part series. On this Valentine’s Day, Fronteras commentator Yvette Benavides talks about her love of being bilingual.

Fri, 14 Feb 2014 19:46:34 +0000 Crystal Chavez 26748 at http://tpr.org Concern Rising In Truth Or Consequences, N.M., About Abundance Of Healing Hot Springs Celebrate San Antonio, City's Downtown New Year's Eve Party http://tpr.org/post/celebrate-san-antonio-citys-downtown-new-years-eve-party
Tonight’s downtown party promises to be quite a huge -- and quite a loud -- event.

"Celebrate San Antonio is the city’s New Year’s Eve party," said Phil Nelson, president of the San Antonio Parks Foundation. Those to whom I spoke expressed too much enthusiasm for only one report, so here's a follow up.

"I’m Catherine Perez, we just recently moved to the San Antonio area from Florida."

I asked Catherine what she thought of the River Walk in its holiday finery.

"I love it! There is the divine story of the birth of Jesus and the almost infinite volume of personal stories from each of our families. There's the story of the magic of Christmas seen a child's eyes, then told many years later after that child became an adult. Texas Matters pauses to listen to those stories and we encourage you to tell your stories to your loved ones.

* This program originally aired on November 27, 2009.

A Remembrance Of The Holidays
Fri, 20 Dec 2013 18:08:17 +0000 Yvette Benavides 23886 at http://tpr.org Christmas In San Antonio And South Texas
