August 7, 2008 · For the past five years people from all over the world have been flocking to Enchanted Springs Ranch to experience something unusual.
"Oh my God, we have a world map hanging in our trading post and all of Europe is taken," said Vice President of Enchanted Springs, Greg Jacobs.
"We've had people from Lebanon, Jordan, France, England, Germany. I mean it's endless."
Enchanted Springs is not your typical ranch; they have some unusual livestock. While they do have a heard of Texas longhorns, they are also home to free range emus, zebras, llamas, and more.
While the exotic animals do seem to steal the show, there's still an Old West look and feel to the place that's impressive. The main entertainment area is made up of old western movie set props and buildings. Including, and old saloon where Pistol Packin' Paula, aka Paula Seletnic, performs.
She's the only professional female gunslinger who uses real guns. Paula is a woman you wouldn't want to mess with; she also works with ropes and bull whips.
It's no wonder people come from around the world to this 86 acre working ranch in Boerne. They get a taste of the Old west and a bit of the exotic.
