July first marks the end of a temporary reprieve from student loan rates that was passed by Congress last year -- the rates will go up to over six percent. What does this jump in rates mean for students, for the government, and for taxpayers?
The St. Mark's Choir and Youth Choir are going to Exeter Cathedral to be choir in residence from July 22-July 28. They will be responsible for singing daily services, with one day off! In total, they will perform 7 services (two on Sunday).

On Tuesday Bexar County Commissioners honored the late Rudy A. Garza for his years of service as the county tax assessor-collector.
Before he was Bexar County’s tax assessor-collector, Garza was chief of investigation for the district attorney’s office in the 1970s, which is when Tommy Adkisson, now a county commissioner, knew him.
Adkisson looked up to Garza as a mentor, and described him as skilled at everything he did.
Some House Republicans feel that too much time is being spent debating abortion legislation during the special session and not enough time on roads.
The House first assigned a set of four abortion bills to a select committee on Monday, giving the bills a later start than their Senate companions, but despite that there are some who feel the bills have a fighting chance.
Rep. Joe Pickett, D-El Paso, who is the chairman of the House Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee, has asked that the State Marshall’s Office and Department of Public Safety work together to compile a website where people can identify dangerous chemical sites.
Col. Steve McCraw, who is with the Department of Public Safety, said currently there are 129 chemical plants in Texas that house dangerous chemicals, two just like the one in West.
