One of San Antonio’s largest school districts has signed a memorandum of understanding with the city on the Pre-K 4 SA program.
The San Antonio Independent School district’s board of trustees unanimously approved the partnership with the city last night. SAISD Spokeswoman Leslie Price said the agreement will be the framework between the district, city, and Texas Education Agency:

He added that at some point during the investigation, somebody at Joint Base San Antonio should have had a light bulb go on that told them to find a magistrate and file affidavits to get a search warrant.

Since 2011, CPS Energy has been able to send out mass alerts to customers when widespread power outages occurred, coordinated by zip code.
But now their system is more sophisticated, and will notify individual customers when power outages more than 15 minutes occur at their specific address.
CPS spokeswoman Yvonne Casanova said the system will continue to be tested through the end of February. Over the next week or so, during regular business hours, customers who have signed up for alerts on the CPS website should receive a test message.
On Tuesday, city employees rolled up their sleeves to take blood pressure and other tests as part of a biometrics wellness screening.
"It's just good to know where you stand as far as your health," said K Rahman, who has worked in the city’s public works department for six years. Rahman also said he has seen an increase in the city’s focus on healthy initiatives for its employees.
