Across the country, a nation and its people are divided, with many feeling anger, aggravation and frustration in the wake of the grand jury's decision not to indict Ferguson officer, Darren Wilson, in the shooting death of Michael Brown.

A rally in San Antonio brought out people of all colors, for discussion and debate. People chanted, held signs and came together to share feelings about the recent events in Missouri. The crowd was mostly white and Hispanic, with African-Americans in the organizing groups facing those who gathered.

One of San Antonio’s high school marching bands will make their broadcast television debut, during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York on Thursday morning. While your turkey is roasting, the Churchill Chargers will have a short solo performance on NBC.

Around the world this month, ballet companies are enjoying their own version of Black Friday, staging "The Nutcracker." The holiday tradition is the key to financial stability for any company, and here in San Antonio, things are no different.

At least once a year, the Convention Center in downtown San Antonio rings out with the sound of music and laughter, and the giving of thanks. Inside, in the kitchens, volunteers like Mayla Moore, of the NAACP youth council, are working around the clock in preparation for an annual feast that caters specifically to those who are too old, or too alone, or just not fortunate enough to be able to afford a real Thanksgiving meal.

Say Si’s yearly Christmas theater production is coming up. Victoria Villasenor plays Elizabeth in Frankie and Elizabeth Get Their Wings.

“Our upcoming show, our Christmas show, Frankie and Elizabeth, is a play that we have adapted from It’s A Wonderful Life.”

In the play, Elizabeth’s mother died the previous year, and she’s had a hard time with that.

“And along the way, she meets this angel, her name is Frankie, and she needs to get her wings by helping somebody out, so she decides to help out Elizabeth.”
