The FDA has announced that Sabra Dipping Company is voluntarily recalling 30,000 cases of its Classic Hummus due to possible listeria contamination. The FDA published a list of the affected SKUs.
The hummus items being recalled are only those of the “Classic” flavor variety and are packaged in a variety of sizes for distribution in retail stores throughout the U.S.
HEB told Texas Public Radio this morning that it has pulled all of the Classic Sabra Hummus from all of its stores. HEB Spokeswoman Dya Campos said no other Sabra products have been affected at this time.
The Sabra recall, however, comes on the heels of several food recalls for possible listeria contamination.
