Beatrice Blazes A Trail For Latinas

Beatrice Briseño is Texas born and bred. She came of age in a time of overt racism towards Mexican Americans. And despite her own successes, it's something that she has never forgotten.

She watched her parents suffer humiliations to ensure she got the best. She learned their work ethic and it would lead to her biggest opportunities.

This story was recorded October 10th at the San Antonio Museum of Art as part of Worth Repeating. The theme of the night was "Because How I Am: stories of identity, how the world sees us and how we see ourselves."
