Bexar County Court Records Now Available Online

Bexar County

Bexar County employees have completed the first phase of uploading court records to the Internet. The county's database is now available for anyone to search for court documents filed with the district clerk or the county clerk’s offices.

Staffers for District Clerk Donna Kay McKinney and County Clerk Gerry Rickhoff have been working to get the records uploaded and reached a milestone last week. McKinney says the service will be particularly helpful to attorneys "who have deadlines and settings and need to get judgments entered," but individuals may need to access the information as well.

"If you have a lawsuit of your own and you want to know when it's set, you can look it up," said McKinney. "What it is, is actually a list of everything filed in the case."

McKinney said users will find a list of documents – she said scanning the actual documents is the next goal.

The public can search civil and criminal dockets for felonies and misdemeanor court records, land records, assumed names, personal property records, foreclosure notices, and even the Spanish Archives. Felony cases go back to the 1970s.
