February 7, 7-10pm: Michele Norris will present The Race Card Project, an idea that encourages people to condense their observations and experiences about race into one sentence, providing a window into America's private conversations about race and cultural identity. This lecture is free and open to the public.
Norris is an award-winning journalist and former NPR host and special correspondent. Norris attended the University of Wisconsin, where she majored in electrical engineering, and graduated from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where she studied journalism. The event takes place at Trinity University's Laurie Auditorium, and is sponsored by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation in partnership with Texas Public Radio's "Dare to Listen" campaign.
