Author Carmen Tafolla on Her New Book, Rebozos

Internationally-renowned author Carmen Tafolla just premiered her new poetry and art book Rebozos. It captures women's common experiences through the use of the rebozo or large scarf. The National Association of Chicana and Chicano Studies has said her work "gives voice to the peoples and cultures of this land."

Tafolla was born and raised on San Antonio’s West Side. This year, Mayor Julián Castro named her San Antonio’s first Poet Laureate. Tafolla visited the Texas Public Radio studios and spoke with TPR's Crystal Chavez.
