Dress For Success Needs Donations Of Suits And Business Attire

A local organization is asking for donations of clothing this month to help men and women find jobs.

Dress for Success and Career Gear San Antonio are asking for donations of suits and business attire that can be worn for job interviews. Dress for Success San Antonio was founded to offer economic, social, and professional services to help women get back on their feet. It provides computer classes, help with resume preparation, financial planning education and clothing for getting back to work.

Its companion organization, Career Gear San Antonio, offers the same assistance to men and in the last four years, has served over 500 men, most of whom were homeless veterans.

Dress for Success and Career Gear San Antonio are also accepting casual attire, formal wear, shoes and accessories for men and women. Any items that are not considered business attire can be sold to help fund the organization’s programs.

Clothing donations are tax deductible and can be dropped off through Jan. 31 at one of several locations around San Antonio. Call Dress for Success San Antonio at (210) 737-1515 for drop-off locations and tax forms.
