Early voting runs Monday, April 27 through Tuesday, May 5 for the May 9 city and school district elections.

Voters in San Antonio are going to polls to choose one of 14 candidates for mayor.  There are also contested races in all ten city council districts.

There are four charter amendments on the ballot. One would add language to the City Charter that states that no streetcar or light rail project could be funded or developed without first receiving approval of the voters in an election.  Another charter would add salaries to the mayor and city council positions. Elections are also being held in various suburban cities and school districts.  Residents in the Harlandale ISD will be deciding on a nearly $65 million bond proposition.
