Equity, Engagement Efforts Earn San Antonio 7th 'All-America City' Award

A 10-member team of officals from the City of San Antonio and its community partners presented various programs to the National Civic League in Denver.

For the fourth time in five years, the City of San Antonio is designated an "All-America City."

According to the National Civic League, the award "recognizes communities that leverage civic engagement, collaboration, inclusiveness and innovation to successfully address local issues."

The City and its community partners highlighted specific programs, initiatives and campaigns in its presentation including the San Antonio Education Partnership, San Antonio Teen Pregnancy Prevention Collaborative, EnrollSAUpgrade and SA SpeakUp.

The distinction is awarded to communities which work collaboratively to promote fairness and equality through inclusive civic engagement, so all residents are encouraged to engage with their local government.

How are these specific programs influencing the community? What's the strategy for ensuring all San Antonio residents are engaged?
