But registering is just the first step; getting Latinos to the polls is the next challenge. Many of us do our part to help the environment. We recycle, carpool or ride bikes. Groups Racing to Register Latinos for November Elections
It’s crunch time. The deadline to register to vote in the November 4th general election is October sixth. The races getting the most attention in Texas include those for governor and lieutenant governor. Across the nation and in Texas groups are working to register Latino voters. One of those groups is Latino Victory Project. President Cristóbal Alex tells us more about the project's outreach efforts.
Two Latinas Hope To Shake Up Escondido Politics
The demographics are changing in Escondido, California. The city’s Latino population has grown from 23 percent in 1990 to close to 50 percent today. Downtown Market With One Eye On The Past, One On The Future
There’s something happening in downtown San Antonio that you may have missed. It's called Mercado O'liva and it happens from ten to two, just once a month on the First Saturday. It takes place under the shade of the massive live oaks in the courtyard of the Spanish Governor’s Palace. Chef Chuck Hernandez explains Mercado O’liva.
