KLRN-TV Selects Emerson To Lead Station

  The Alamo Public Telecommunications Council announced Monday that is has selected San Antonio businessman Arthur Rojas Emerson to lead KLRN, San Antonio's public television organization.

Emerson has a long history with broadcast media, including building and opening Telemundo in San Antonio and managing the network’s stations across Texas. He also worked at KENS-TV and has been associated with KLRN for many years, working both on camera and behind the scenes as a volunteer and board member.

Emerson is the only person to have chaired both the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and his service to the community includes the boards of the Free Trade Alliance, CPS Energy, and the Port of San Antonio Authority. 

Emerson said working with the KLRN team will be a highlight of his career and called the station one of the gems in the community.

KLRN serves 30 counties in South Central Texas as a PBS affiliate. Although it is publicly funded, it is not related to Texas Public Radio.
