Le Vent Du Nord: Not Fooling Around on 'Tromper Le Temps'

Le Vent Du Nord, a music group from Quebec, Canada, celebrate ten years of playing music with their latest release, "Tromper Le Temps."

French is the language of choice, and despite being categorized as folk musicians, these guys are very much planted in the politics of the present. Songs decry everything from 'fracking' in North America, tothe decision to drop the French language narrative from ice hockey games on Canadian television.

The group plays a range of instruments, from hurdy gurdys and mandolins, to guitar and piano.

They have been described as 'the hippest exponents of Quebecois music. This must be described as French Canadian music at its best.
