Metro Health Making Health Care Push By Bringing ACA Navigators To West Side

U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District will bring several Affordable Care Act navigators together Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for a mass effort to help residents apply for health care coverage.

"Enroll Fest" is designed to bring resources to San Antonio and Bexar County residents who need to get signed up for health care plans.

Metro Health is partnering with Blue Cross Blue Shield and several community organizations at The Neighborhood Place on the city’s West Side -- The Neighborhood Place is located at 3014 Rivas.

Certified navigators will be on hand to help people get signed up. The event also features a health fair, with a limited number of free flu shots and adult whooping cough vaccines.

People looking to apply should bring social security cards, birth dates of all family members, proof of income or tax returns, and policy numbers of any insurance policies currently held by the family.
