Nonesuch Records President Reflects On Balancing Business And Art

As of January, Robert Hurwitz will no longer be president of Nonesuch Records, a job he’s held since 1984. Here & Now‘s Robin Young talked with Hurwitz about his work for the label in December 2015.

“To the people on the corporate side, it’s the notion of spending their money as if it’s your own money,” Hurwitz said. “In terms of the artists’ side, it’s respecting their art and their craft.”
