San Antonio 110

On Patriot Day people in San Antonio reflect on the events of September 11, 2001.

First responders from 50 different agencies around Texas will be paying tribute this morning to the hundreds of firefighters, law enforcement, and EMS personnel who lost their lives at the World Trade Center by climbing the Tower of the Americas. It's the San Antonio 1109/11 Memorial Climb. They will climb it twice to meet and exceed the height of the WTC towers.

New Life Christian Ministry will be holding a commemoration at the San Antonio 9/11 Memorial at 9 a.m. It’s located on eastbound Hwy 90 at Castroville Road on San Antonio’s West Side. There will be a wreath laying ceremony and the names of thirty who perished will be read.

A memorial honoring the New York firefighters will be unveiled at 11 a.m. at the San Antonio Public Safety Headquarters. The 7 feet tall memorial will be housed in the second floor lobby.

And a ceremony with a flag presentation will take place at 2:00 this afternoon at SAFD Fire Station #1 at 515 North Cherry.
