Sunday night is New Year's Eve, and it's also the start of San Antonio's 300 year celebration. It all happens downtown at Hemisfair, starting at 4 p.m.
Park and Ride is recommended and will be hauling people in from two separate locations: Crossroads Park and Ride and Madla Park and Ride.
If you take your car, city-owned garages will charge a flat $5 fee.
Live music on two stages features a wide variety of sounds. Music starts at 4:15 p.m. on the west stage.

REO Speedwagon and Pat Benatar are the headliners, but you can also look forward to greats like Little Joe Y La Familia, Flaco Jimenez and the hottest young band to come out of the Alamo City in years, the Last Bandoleros.

The Yanaguana Garden will screen family movies like "Home Alone" and "Big," and the Magik Theatre is officially putting Christmas to bed with their last performances of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" and "The Christmas Carol."
This being the first Tricentennial event, it’s ending with a bang: A midnight fireworks display. The New Year's Eve celebration is free, though food and drinks are not.
