The San Antonio Police Department is teaming up with San Antonio McDonald's to provide free child fingerprinting at the restaurant at 1643 Pleasanton Road  from 9 to 11 a.m. this Saturday. The goal is to catalog the fingerprints of 200 children in the name of public safety.

In an event called "Coffee with the Cops," SAPD will talk to parents about collecting DNA samples in order to identify their children in case of any future incidents using their Child Identification Kit.

To promote the program, local McDonald's owner Shelly Contreras will offer a free McCafe to all in attendance and a coupon for a free Hamburger Happy Meal to the first 200 children that have their fingerprints taken. Also in attendance will be Police Chief William McManus and City Councilwoman Rebecca J. Viagran.
