San Antonio police say they are investigating an incident where multiple shots were fired at police headquarters Saturday night, apparently leaving bullet impact marks found on the east side of the building.

Police say the shots were heard around 9:50 p.m. and multiple shell casings were found across the street from the public safety headquarters.

According to a police spokesperson, a Hispanic male wearing an orange shirt and navy blue pants was seen running from the scene. The department bomb squad was called to inspect a vehicle parked near the area where the shell casings were located but the vehicle was found to belong to an employee of a nearby business.

Police say they are continuing to investigate the incident and have instructed officers to be on heightened alert for any threats to their safety.
