Silver Solutions 2018 Senior Resource Fair

Texas Public Radio is pleased to be partnering with Jewish Family Services for the 8th annual Silver Solutions Resource Fair.  Silver Solutions is a free community event spotlighting programs and services provided by institutions that support San Antonio seniors and their caregivers.

This event will be held at the Barshop Jewish Community Center, on Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.  This location is a centrally located, high-traffic venue with many active adults, seniors and families on campus daily. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to engage with the community at this event!

Silver Solutions is a resource fair that helps seniors gather information pertaining to their health, their living resources, their faculties, their passions and their independence. As members of our associated organizations, as children of seniors, we want to help elders in our community age in place and live life to its fullest!  Also, those of us who are working with our family members to help them research their options are seeing the need to put a plan together for ourselves.

This year’s educational presentations address the topics of Housing, Isolation, Fraud & Scams, Security for Smart Phones, Medication Management, and Sleep Issues for Seniors.

Experts will also be available for attendees to Ask the Expert and have a one-on-one conversation on a variety of topics.  Care at Home demonstrations will also be offered.

Details of the event can be found at this link https://jfs-sa.org/silversolutions/. For questions or information about volunteer and sponsor opportunities, please contact Marie Angelicchio at angelicchiom@jfs-sa.org.
