The Source: The Boys In The Bunkhouse

How did a group of intellectually disabled men from Texas ended up working in an Iowa turkey processing center - where they were abused - exploited - and kept in squalor?

A program aimed at employing the intellectually disabled goes terribly wrong, and thirty years after it started, light is finally shined on the program. The new book "The Boys in the Bunkhouse: Servitude and Salvation in the Heartland" has readers asking how such a situation could play out in America. Questions of civil rights, social justice and resilience.
