The Source: Camelot II Gets Trash Collection, Needs Hope

Courtesy of Josh Brodesky San Antonio Express-News

Trash sits in heaps on the streets of Camelot II, an unincorporated community in Northeast Bexar County, and it has for years. It has sat for so long, being added to, and picked through that it was described as apublic health problem.  It is just one of the many issues plaguing the area along with crime and degradation. For years the county has shrugged its shoulders, unable to mandate trash pickup or to afford a county-wide waste management system.

That is about to change though. Tuesday, the Bexar County Commissioners Court voted to contract with the city on a pilot basis to provide trash pickup for Camelot II.
