The Source: Iran And Greece, From The Tower

[State Department photo/ Public Domain]
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry meets with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif in Paris, France, on January 16, 2015, to continue their negotiations over the future of Iran's nuclear program.

We talk with two historians about the state of big international events in Greece and Iran.

Wednesday, the Associated Press reported that the nuclear nonproliferation deal struck with Iran could be hampered by a side dealbetween the International Atomic Energy Agency and Iran, allowing one facility to be inspected by Iranian inspectors. The revelations had Congressional Republicans crying foul. The reporting has been questioned and some details were walked back .

And in Greece, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has called for new elections. Tsipras, who saw widespread defections from his own party after he pushed for a controversial economic bailout, hopes he can regain support.
