When it came to public discussions about water in San Antonio - clearly there is an attitude by the establishment that voices of dissent are not welcome.

This pattern of behavior was on full display when a report authored by water expert Calvin Finch that called the Vista Ridge pipeline "risky" was publicly attacked. And Finch's own character was called into question in the process. But he was proven right when the Spanish conglomerate  behind the pipeline had to bailout due to financial issues.

Another informed and intelligent voice that raised questions about Vista Ridge and water rates in San Antonio is that of Amy Hardberger.

She is professor of law at St. Mary's and recognized advocate for water conservation. And up until recently was on the San Antonio Water System's Capital Improvements Advisory Committee. So what happened?

Guests:

  • Amy Hardberger, professor of law at St Marys University
  • Robert Puente, CEO of the San Antonio Water System
