The Source: Latino America

Very soon Texas will be a state where the largest ethnic group is Latinos. California made the switch early this year. The two most populous states, with the most electoral college votes, are poised to remake the political landscape.

What will it mean for the southwest and the country as the demographics begin to shift? What conclusions can we draw past a simple red vs. blue analysis?

Matt Barreto and Gary Segura take this question on in their new book "Latino America."

Guest:

  • Gary Segura, co-author of "Latino America: How America's Most Dynamic Population is Poised to Transform The Politics of the Nation" and co-founder Latino Decisions, a polling group.
