The U.S. unauthorized immigrant population is about 11-point 1 million people, and it has been stable since the end of the Great Recession.
Illegal immigration fromMexico has been on the decline.
That's according to new numbers from the Pew Research Center - these findings match up with the analysis of immigration trends in a new book "Mexican Migration to the United States - Perspectives from Both Sides of the Border."
It's co-edited by Harriett Romo - professor of sociology and director of the UTSA Mexico Center.
Also editing the book is center's program coordinator Olivia Mogollon.
