In the first  segment:

This week our reporter Eileen Pace has brought you several stories on the refugee community here in San Antonio.  From their resettlement to building new lives, to their children going to school, she has mapped what the experience is for people who leave war-torn countries for the promise of something better.  Pace joins us along with District 8 council member Ron Nirenberg and Northside Independent School District officials to talk about the institutions helping them.

In the second segment:

News that the Federal Reserve Bank was going to taper its bond buying program, but continue keeping interest rates low sent the Dow into record territory again. Continued job growth has the unemployment numbers at their lowest rate in 5 years. Texas continues to be an engine of economic growth for the entire country.  That was 2013.  What does 2014 have in store?

We talk with Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Senior economist Keith Phillips about where Texas is heading next year. Joining him to talk about the stock market we have Susan Smith, Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Mesirow Financial.
