The Source Today: A Little More In Taxes And A Little Less Water

Today is the first day that San Antonio will be paying the extra sales tax for the Pre-K 4 SA program, and with enrollment for the first two centers beginning in May and classes scheduled to begin in August there are still a lot of questions.
Castro talked about updates on the early childhood education program that is already hiring staff, building learning centers and getting ready for registration. He fielded questions from both opponents and advocates. To one opponent who talked about building on what was already in our education program he replied,

The state of San Antonio’s main water source as the drought gets worse and the water level continues dropping. San Antonio Water System announced last week that Stage 3 and 4 water restrictions could be in the near future and are urging customers to conserve water now to keep from draining the Edwards Aquifer too fast.
Ruiz talks about water restrictions, pumping limits and the future of water in the Alamo City.
