Does it seem that life is getting faster and faster? From the news cycle - to fashion to technology, are we in the fast lane to self-destruction? 
 
A new book charts the rise of our love-affair with fast. While technological disruption is nothing new (think the industrial revolution) the pace of disruption and how that disruption has been embraced by all aspects of our modern lives, argues "The Great Acceleration."
Should we try to slow down the great acceleration - or learn to enjoy the ride?
