Science took center stage on Friday, September 19th, as TPR brought planetary scientist J. Hunter Waite and neurologist Peter T. Fox to the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio's Holly Auditorium. Dr. Waite, affiliated with Southwest Research Institute, and Dr. Fox of UTHSCSA shared the latest from the Cassini mission and advances in the study of brain activity at ultra-high altitudes.
The audience of approximately 600 included TPR members and listeners, science enthusiasts and local students, some of whom attended free, courtesy of the Education Service Center, Region 20 and event sponsors TMI - The Episcopal School of Texas, theSchool of Science and Technology, Microsoft at the Shops at La Cantera and the UTSA College of Sciences.
