Trump Headed To Texas For Rally And Fundraising

Texas Tribune
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will be in Texas Tuesday for a rally in Austin and several fundraising events.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is back in Texas this week for a series of fundraising events. Trump will kick off his latest Texas tour on Tuesday with a rally in Austin, one of the state’s most Democratic-leaning cities.

Trump’s rally at the Travis County Expo Center will be the first time he has visited the Lone Star State since becoming his party’s presidential nominee.

And while it may be a little unusual for a Republican presidential candidate to actively campaign and fund-raise in a city like Austin, state GOP leaders say it shows Trump’s willingness to grow the party.

Following the Austin rally, Trump will attend fundraising events in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.

Both Gov. Greg Abbott and Land Commissioner George P. Bush, who have expressed their support of Trump say they will be not be able to attend any of his Texas appearances.  Officials with the Lt. Governor’s Office say that Dan Patrick will be present at both the Trump rally in Austin and his fundraising events.
