Update (9:15 a.m.) Today will not be as bad as Friday but some ice and sleet is being reported in certain parts of the city. Pat McDonald, a forecaster with the National Weather Service, said some freezing rain has been reported at the airport.
The temperature is just below freezing at the moment and McDonald predicts that will not get above 32 degrees until 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. More precipitation is expected in the next couple of hours.
McDonald stressed that although roads may not be closed it is best to use caution over bridges, interchanges and overpasses for any ice that could accumulate.
Original Post (6:26 a.m.) A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon Tuesday for San Antonio. The National Weather Service says we still have a slight chance of freezing rain and sleet by noon.
TxDOT crews were out pre-treating overpasses and bridges in Bexar County very early Tuesday morning. Check this list for current traffic incidents and road closures.
