UTSA President Ricardo Romo Placed On Administrative Leave

University of Texas at San Antonio President Ricardo Romo was put on administrative leave Tuesday and is subject to quote "a review of allegations related to his conduct," according to an email sent to university staff and faculty.

Former Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Pedro Reyes will be acting as President during the review period.
Romo was appointed UTSA President in May of 1999 and has overseen a period of explosive expansion, especially at the Loop 1604 campus.
Romo had already planned to retire, and a search had already begun for his replacement.
