Vocal Group Brings The Sounds Of Eastern Europe To Hunt, Texas
Voci di Sorelle, an all-women San Antonio singing group, is taking their show to the hill country.
“There are currently nine singers. It’s all a capella music," said founder Ruth Moreland. "We’ve been doing concerts all across Texas for the last ten years.”
Voci di Sorelle performs a lot in San Antonio, but Sunday, March
13 30, their free 3 p.m. performance is in Hunt, TX, which is west of Kerrville.
“The venue is the United Methodist Church of Hunt, Texas, which is a beautiful church that’s got great acoustics," Moreland said. "It would be a great day trip if you wanted to drive out there. It’s just nestled in the hills right there by the Guadalupe River. A very picturesque and wonderful place to come out and experience this gorgeous music for women’s voices.”
Voci de Sorelle's show, entitled "Harmonía," will be music from Croatia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Estonia and Russia, "much of which has never been heard by Texas audiences," Moreland said.
Listen to the link below. It's moody, evocative music.
“Our repertoire includes over ten languages and we’ve just sung music from all over the world," Moreland said.
