YOSA Pushes Re-Do Button On 'OK Computer'

Thursday night will be a musical one in Southtown. You may remember Youth Orchestra of San Antonio’s big concert at the Tobin in late June. Now, that event is going to be reprised.

The Rivard Report along with YOSA, is holding a musical event called Estatica. It’s going to be held at The Brick at the Blue Star.  "They are going to collaborate with local artists to do an encore concert of their June 27th concert where they covered OK Computer by Radiohead," said Jaime Solis with the Rivard Report.

That Radiohead album is considered one of the top albums of the 90s, and YOSA students re-created it on stage with the help of several local music groups.  Some of those musicians will be back at The Brick.

"And they’re also going to do some of their original material backed by the orchestra," said Solis.

The idea was born shortly after the Tobin Center performance.

"After the June 27th show all the artists were really excited to do this and they were just looking at the chance of doing it again. And it should be a really great show, an intimate show. It’s going to be a small crowd."

Estatica will also feature performance of a whole different kind.

"We’re also going to have Aerial Horizons, which is an acrobatic group that performs at Brick. They’re also going to be performing a small set there during the concert."

Solis thinks the intimate setting allows interchange between YOSA players and the audience that attends.
