There is estimated to be more than 25 million Hispanics now living in the U.S. This diverse community now represents the fastest growing segment of the nation’s population. Latino USA, the journal of news and culture, is a half-hour program devoted entirely to this burgeoning population. Latino influences and contributions continue to have an increasingly important impact on the evolving identity, life, and reality of the U.S. Latino USA acts as a forum for connections and reflects the experience of a changing population from a Latino viewpoint. From the U.S./Mexican border to New York City’s Puerto Rican and Dominican barrios, from Frida Kahlo to Rosie Perez, from the streets of Miami’s Calle Ocho to the neighborhoods of East L.A., Latino USA keeps a finger on the pulse of American Latinos and on the issues that affect their lives.
Latino USA has gained a loyal audience and won more than a dozen prestigious national awards, including a Scripps Howard Foundation National Journalism Award and awards from the communications industry for journalistic and production excellence.
