Miami, San Antonio Opera Companies Bet On NBA Finals

On, Tuesday night after the San Antonio Spurs won Game 3 to go up 2-1 over the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals, Opera Piccola San Antonio's founder Mark Richter was happy.

"I hope we run the Heat out of town, and I hope we finish them here in San Antonio!"

Concert Band Honors Stars & Stripes On Flag Day

Friday night includes a celebration of Flag Day with the Heart of Texas Concert Band. "It's not as popular a holiday as St. Patrick's Day or even Columbus Day!", says music director and conductor Mark Rogers. "But we found lots of music appropriate for honoring the flag and wanted to do a concert."
