YOSA and CCSA collaborate for BrahmsFest

Monday night, February 11, two outstanding youth groups combine on the stage of Trinity University's Laurie Auditorium to celebrate the music of Johannes Brahms. The official Brahms Festival event will feature new orchestrations and old favorites.

Marguerite McCormick and Troy Peters will conduct the Children's Chorus of San Antonio and the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio Philharmonic in "Brahms ReImagined."

Lang-Lessing Brings Symphonies And Concertos To Brahms Festival

San Antonio Symphony debuts on its curated concerts at the Majestic

While the San Antonio Symphony usually plays one pair of identical subscription concerts, their Brahms Festival will show different programs each day. The festival and concerts started back in January, but this Friday will mark the symphony's first concerts for the festival.

Kirill Gerstein will perform both Piano Concertos and the other half of the Friday and Saturday concerts will have the First and Second Symphonies.

Opera Piccola Shares The Gypsy Love In Music And Dance

Brahms Fest continues Saturday night at OLLU

Voices, piano, and dance all come together at the Brahms Festival this weekend with Opera Piccola's Gypsy Love.  Two sets of Gypsy songs and the New Lovesong Waltzes will be performed with a quartet of singers.

The Ballet Arts School will interpret these songs, with original choreography.
