Seven institutions along the Broadway corridor have created a collaborative to showcase the art, culture and history available in a tightly-knit area north of downtown.  

The multi-level effort was first brainstormed during SA 2020 meetings almost three years ago.

"Well, we’ve been working together for a number of years, meeting and talking about how we could work together more effectively," said Dr. William Chiego, director of the McNay Art Museum.

A leading expert in royal festivals and celebrations, Sir Roy Strong is an art historian, broadcaster, diarist, gardener, and writer, who has served as director of the National Portrait Gallery (1967–1973) and Victoria and Albert Museum (1974–1987), both in London. His talk focuses on the evolution of coronations in recent yearsand coincides with the exhibit fiesta, fete, festival.

Carlos Francisco Jackson, professor of chicana/o studies at the University of California-Davis, and George Vargas, professor of art history at Texas A & M University-Kingsville, discussed the meaning of the term "Chicano" in 2012. Ricardo Romo, President, The University of Texas at San Antonio, moderated the conversation.
