Bexar County Sheriff-Elect Announces Appointments To Management Team

Bexar County Sheriff-elect Susan Pamerleau is using the final days of December to gather her executive team so they can hit the ground running on new year's day.

On Monday, at her second press conference since the election, Pamerleau announced she would retain Chief Deputy Manuel Longoria.

"He provides great continuity," she said. "Besides that, he’s a man of integrity, he cares about the officers, he cares about this community. He’s got the right sight picture and I know that already he and I are working great together."

Pamerleau Beats Ortiz: First Elected Female Bexar County Sheriff

Bexar County will have a new sheriff after the Republican challenger unseated Democratic incumbent Amadeo Ortiz.  

Bexar County Sheriff-Elect Susan Pamerleau had a smile from ear to ear with an early vote lead of nine percent when the polls closed on election night. In the end, Pamerleau had won by a slim margin with 51 percent.

At the Republican watch party, Pamerleau dropped hints that she is intent on changing some of the inner workings of the sheriff’s department.

City Council Redistricting and the Race for Bexar County Sheriff

Revised lines for San Antonio City Council Districts.

With population shifts revealed by the latest census numbers, it was time to re-draw city council districts. David Mendez is the man charged with drawing the new boundaries and making sure everyone has equal representation in San Antonio. The race for Bexar County Sheriff features Democrat incumbent Amadeo Ortiz and Republican Retired Air Force General Susan Pamerleau.
