Texas Public Radio (TPR) is hosting a free community screening of the award-winning documentary film "Bag It!" on Tuesday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. The screening will take place at the LOL Comedy Club, located in the Park North Entertainment Complex at Loop 410 and Blanco Road.

Sherry and Steve have been volunteering for TPR since 1997. In addition to volunteering, Sherry and Steve are avid readers and runners. Sherry enjoys making wreaths, taking Oasis classes, seeing films, doing crossword puzzles (especially acrostics), and taking quizzes on Sploofus. Steve enjoys Sudoku, motorcycling and bicycling.

We asked Sherry and Steve to answer a few questions about themselves and their volunteering experiences with TPR. Sherry responded to our questions.

What is your background?

Views and Brews: Microbreweries is a casual community forum that combines cold beer and frothy discussion as citizens learn more about where microbreweries can and cannot sell their products to the public. Attendees can enjoy free samples of microbrewery offerings from Blue Star Brewing Company and Freetail Brewing Company.

Join Texas Public Radio for a free public event spotlighting programs and services provided by institutions that support San Antonio seniors and their caregivers.

Silver Solutions takes place Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Medical Arts and Research Center at 8300 Floyd Curl Dr.

Is your life too plastic? Have you ever considered the impact of plastics on your health and your environment? The documentary film "Bag It!" follows one man's journey to learn about his own use of plastics and how they affect the world.

A natural fit for our Views and Brews series: Microbreweries and beer distribution laws.

Please join TPR at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, at Hermann Sons for the latest discussion in the Views and Brews series. The event will feature a panel discussion about possible legislative changes to distribution laws and the impact to wholesalers, distributors and breweries of all sizes.

The panel discussion will be featured on "Texas Matters" Friday, March 1 at 12:30 p.m. with rebroadcasts Saturday, March 2 at 6:30 a.m. and Sunday, March 3 at 9:30 p.m.
