Musical Teaches Kids Empathy With On Stage Lessons, Shoe Drive

Eric Castillo, founder of A Walk In Their Shoes, will take donated shoes from the play to distribute to the needy.

A San Antonio psychologist-turned-playwright is teaming up with The Playhouse theater for a musical to benefit the homeless. You have two chances this week to enjoy "In Their Shoes," Wednesday and Thursday nights only.

The whole story is about empathy, and a pair of magic shoes that transports a little girl, Goody2Shoes, into a world where she can see what it’s like to be in another person’s shoes.

A Perfect Fit: UIW Student Gets Shoes To Those In Need

Eric Castillo and his organization, A Walk in My Shoes, has made it a mission to find shoes to fit everybody who needs a pair in San Antonio, and the 500 pairs of shoes he delivered to SAMMinistries on Friday is just part of the story.
