Title: Engineering Intern
Reports to: Director of Engineering & Technology
Classification: Unpaid Part-time Internship
Summary: The Engineering Intern will assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of audio equipment, computer systems, telephone equipment, radio transmitters and other electronic devices in use at Texas Public Radio.
Responsibilities:

Assist with installation and repair of various equipment

Install wiring for telephone, network and audio circuits

Troubleshoot personal computer systems

Load or update personal computer software
-
Sort and store electronic components and parts
-
Organize technical storage areas
The intern will learn about:

Broadcast audio and transmitter equipment

Equipment maintenance
-
Radio station operation procedures
-
Electronic troubleshooting
-
Good engineering practices
Texas Public Radio will provide a workstation at the station as needed as well as support and guidance from the Director of Engineering & Technology.
