04 Arts Foundation for Arts in Education: 04ARTS, a non-profit organization founded by visionary educator and artist Penelope Speier, brought the VTS to San Antonio in response to an absence of innovative arts education programming in the inner city schools. The program incorporates the participation of community visual art institutions and a public school district. Admiral Nimitz Foundation at the National Museum of the Pacific War - Fredericksburg: The only institution in the continental United States dedicated exclusively to telling the story of the Pacific Theater battles of World War II. Alamo Council of the Blind: The Alamo Council of the Blind has advocated for blind and visually impaired persons since 1986. ChildSafe:ChildSafe is a Child Advocacy Center, the only one in Bexar County that provides specialized services to children that have abused, neglected or sexually abused. ChildSafe provides a safe, child-friendly environment where law enforcement, Child Protective Services, prosecution, and mental health professionals work together to create a unique plan to help each individual and family traumatized by abuse heal, as well as work with law enforcement to bring perpetrators to justice.  www.childsafe-sa.org

The Chow Train: Founded in 2005 by Joan M. Cheever to serve the hungry, food insecure and homeless residents of San Antonio, gourmet, restaurant quality and healthy food on the streets of San Antonio. The Chow Train received its 501c3 nonprofit status in March 2011. Cheever has been cooking for the hungry and her “street peeps” for many years. The Chow Train is a nonprofit food truck that serves hot, healthy and restaurant quality meals to the hungry and homeless and those individuals who are temporarily homeless like the residents of the devastated towns of Joplin, MO, Moore, OK, La Place, LA and those who lost their homes in theBastropfires.   www.thechowtrain.com

Cibolo Nature Center & Farm of Boerne: In 1988, Carolyn Chipman Evans approached the leaders of the small community of Boerne and asked for their help in restoring and preserving 100 neglected acres of public land.  
After countless volunteer hours dedicated to cleanup, restoration and trail building, the Cibolo Nature Center opened to the public on Earth Day 1990.  The center embraces four distinct ecosystems: riparian forest, live oak savannah, tall-grass prairie and spring-fed marsh.  www.cibolo.org

The Circle School: Family Cooperative Serving pre-K through the 8th grade. The Circle School's curriculum is inspired by the work of Nicholas Roerich and a synthesis of methods and insights taken from the work of many educators. City of Marble Falls: Founded in 1887 by General Adam R. Johnson and incorporated on May 18, 1907, Marble Falls is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country on the Colorado River. It is centrally located 47 miles northwest of Austin and 85 miles north of San Antonio, in the middle of the Highland Lakes area, the largest chain of lakes in Texas.Before the dam was built to form Lake Marble Falls on the Colorado River, there were falls of marble giving the name Marble Falls to the City. Earn-A-Bike: The San Antonio Earn-A-Bike Co-op (EAB) is a volunteer-driven initiative with a mission to create equitable access to cycling by providing affordable bicycle maintenance, services, and education. To achieve our mission, we operate a community bicycle repair shop.  The Shop provides a central forum for  sharing equipment, materials, and expertise and facilitates affordable, practical, hands-on support for cyclist of all ages and skill levels. The San Antonio Earn-A-Bike Co-op is located at 2619 Guadalupe St. in San Antonio, Texas and welcomes anyone who wants to learn about cycling, repairs, maintenance or safe riding. Aside from the pleasure of fixing and riding  bicycles, members of the EAB believe that bikes are a vital vehicle for sociality and movement and they  offer an option to the automobile. Eva's Heroes: Eva's Heroes is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to enriching the lives of those with intellectual special needs by providing an inclusive setting built on four tenets: interact, grow, learn, and love. Based in San Antonio, the organization helps teens and young adults between 14 and up, who have intellectual special needs, integrate and flourish in society. Eva's Heroes offers unique opportunities for these young men and women that they may not be able to experience elsewhere. San Antonio Society of Ophthalmology: The San Antonio Society of Ophthalmology (SASO) is a non-profit, voluntary organization founded in 1926. SASO's current mission includes the development and promotion of the art and science of ophthalmology, protecting the public's health as it pertains to eye care, and creating a sense of community amongst ophthalmologists in San Antonio and the surrounding area. The membership of SASO is composed of physicians holding a medical degree and trained in the specialty of ophthalmology. All members are required to be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
