AccessAbility Fest 2012

In honor of National Disabilities Awareness Month, Texas Public Radio and present the 6th annual AccessAbility Fest. Come out to Hemisfair Park for a family-friendly, fun-filled day offering resources, information, ideas and support for persons with disabilities and their families, including people with physical, intellectual, sensory and developmental disabilities.

Learn about the wealth of resources available to people with disabilities and their families and enjoy dozens of family-friendly activities, fantastic door prizes and live entertainment.

Connect with dozens of nonprofit organizations and businesses that provide resources, products and services designed to cater to the needs of persons with disabilities and their families.

Local businesses and organizations serving people with disabilities will be on hand to provide information on products and services designed to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities. Numerous organizations will provide an array of health screenings and seminars with advice and education regarding of a number of disability-related issues.

Experts in the fields of housing, job and career coaching, socialization and recreation, transportation and mental health will be available for one-on-one sessions to help answer your questions and concerns.
